Airport transfers | U Want Taxi
We run fixed-price transfers to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City from Burnham, Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Marlow and the villages around them. Every airport booking is tracked against your flight, so the pickup time moves with it rather than sitting fixed on a piece of paper.
Heathrow is the airport most of our transfer bookings go to, simply because of where we're based — it's the closest by a wide margin from Burnham, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead. Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City are further out, and the right choice of route depends on which one your flight actually uses, not just which one people call 'the airport' out of habit.
Every transfer we book is linked to the flight number, not just a fixed clock time. If a flight lands early or late, or is delayed on the runway before boarding, the pickup time for a departure or the collection time for an arrival adjusts with it. You don't need to call and change anything — the driver already knows.
For arrivals, the driver waits at the terminal and meets you after you've cleared customs, holding a board with your name if you've asked for one, rather than leaving you to find a car park or a pickup point on your own with jet lag and a trolley of luggage.
The fare is agreed when you book, for the exact terminal and exact pickup address, and it doesn't change because the M4 was slow or the driver had to circle the terminal twice. A saloon to Heathrow runs a fixed £18 to £22 depending on your exact starting point, more for Gatwick, Stansted or Luton given the extra distance, always confirmed before you travel rather than worked out on a meter afterwards.
Saloon and estate cars cover most transfer bookings. For a larger family or a group with heavy luggage, ask about our minibus or airport taxi van instead — both run the same fixed-price, flight-tracked model, just sized differently. Early or late flights are no extra charge; a 4am pickup for a 6am departure is booked the same way as one in the middle of the afternoon.
From Burnham and Slough, Heathrow is typically 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic on the M4. From Windsor and Maidenhead it's a similar range, usually a little longer from Maidenhead and longer again from Marlow, which sits furthest from the airport of the towns we cover. None of that changes the fare — it's fixed at booking regardless of which of our towns you're travelling from.
Booking is the same whether you're going a short distance to Heathrow or a much longer one to Stansted or Gatwick: give us the flight number, the terminal, and the pickup address, and we confirm the fare and pickup time straight away. Return bookings work the same way in reverse, with the arrival tracked and the driver waiting inside the terminal rather than in an off-site car park you'd have to find on your own with luggage. Most of our regular customers book both legs of a trip at once, so the return is already arranged before they've even left home.
